Conditions

• Your research project needs to be submitted on [link] by 23:59 of 17 Febuary 2021 20 Febuary 2021. You’re welcome to submit more than one project.
• All submissions will be reviewed by our selection committee, and accepted projects will be announced via the provided contact information within 22 Febuary 2021 24 Febuary 2021.
• Accepted projects will be featured in IST-FR 2021 Symposium with a chance to win prizes.

Presentation & competition

Once your project has been accepted, you will have to present your work as a poster during a 30-minute session on the first day of Symposium to let the audience know about your work. Our panel of judges will also be evaluating this presentation. Prizes will be given to the projects that our judges believe are most significant and at the forefront of the frontier. The quality of your presentation also matters since it will help our judges understand your research.

Listed below are important details about the poster presentation

• You do not have to print out a physical poster, though feel free to do so if it helps with your presentation.
• You will be provided with one 32-inch television or larger and a HDMI cable.
• It is best to bring your own portable computer for the poster presentation.

Criteria

To be eligible for submission, your work must meet all the criteria set out below

• Undergraduate or graduate research in Science or Engineering fields
• Your research is conducted within the 2019/20 or 2020/21 academic years
• Undergraduate research in science and engineer field
• Research must be conducted during undergraduate study in the field of computer science, computer engineering, or information science
• Your research must be in one of the accepted research areas listed out below
• VISTEC members are not eligible
